The publish job tags the merged commit before publishing, so a re-run after a failed publish step (for example before the npm trusted publisher exists) failed at the tag step. An existing tag is now accepted only when it names the merged commit.

The tag step failed on the second attempt because the first had already pushed the tag.
It now accepts an existing tag that names the merged commit and still fails for any other.

ℹ️ About Codex security reviews in GitHub

This is an experimental Codex feature. Security reviews are triggered when:

  • You comment "@codex security review"
  • A regular code review gets triggered (for example, "@codex review" or when a PR is opened), and you’re opted in so security review runs alongside code review

Once complete, Codex will leave suggestions, or a comment if no findings are found.
