   I have opened draft PR #26 with the first Windows/XAMPP/hosted compatibility release.

   The investigation found that Windows Pro is not the main compatibility switch. The application also needs a working DigitalPersona driver/Web SDK service, a supported Docker Desktop + WSL 2/Hyper-V setup, correct application base paths, MySQL configuration, and a reachable matching service. The old revision also used root-relative /src/... URLs, which break when XAMPP serves the project from http://localhost/FingerPrint/.

   PR #26 now:

   • fixes XAMPP subdirectory paths;
   • makes MySQL and matching-service addresses configurable;
   • adds a Windows preflight script and PHP diagnostic endpoint;
   • adds Docker/service health checks;
   • documents local XAMPP and hosted-server configurations separately;
   • fixes a native verifier memory-lifetime defect.

   After checking out the PR branch, please run:

   cd fingerprint_service
   docker compose up -d --build
   docker compose ps
   cd ..
   powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File scripts/windows-preflight.ps1

   Then open:

   http://localhost/FingerPrint/src/core/diagnostics.php
   http://localhost/FingerPrint/
   

   Please share the redacted preflight and diagnostic results, plus any browser-console errors. Do not post fingerprint samples, passwords, tokens, or biometric request bodies.

   IMPORTANT: The SDK V3 and the patch you mentioned need to be installed DO NOT work on Windows 10 Pro.

   In other words, it does not connect to the DigitalPersona biometric reader hardware. So far, the only SDK and RTE that has worked is v.1.6.1.965 (DigitalPersona One Touch for Windows SDK).
