Summary

  • Add TCP port 53 alongside the existing UDP 53 rule in the kube-dns egress block
  • Add TCP port 53 alongside the existing UDP 53 rule in the outside-world (0.0.0.0/0) egress block

Test plan

  • helm template the chart to confirm valid manifest output
  • Deploy to a test namespace and verify TCP DNS queries succeed

Allow TCP DNS queries alongside existing UDP 53 in both the kube-dns
and outside-world egress blocks, for DNS responses that exceed the
UDP size limit.
