File upload example

[tonygomez]

Anyone have a file upload example?

Thanks!

Looks like the default is to upload to C:\fakepath[filename] or something like that.
How does this work?

@trouble2 Formeo renders a plain <input type="file"> and doesn't upload anything itself; your app does that part. C:\fakepath\... is how browsers mask the path in input.value, and the actual file is still there in FormData. Send the form as FormData rather than JSON:

const form = document.querySelector('.formeo-render')
form.addEventListener('submit', e => {
  e.preventDefault()
  fetch('/upload', { method: 'POST', body: new FormData(form) })
})

Leave the Content-Type header off so the browser can set the multipart boundary, and don't JSON.stringify(renderer.userData), because the File objects come out as {}. For a plain native submit, config: { attrs: { method: 'post', enctype: 'multipart/form-data', action: '/upload' } } on FormeoRenderer sets those on the <form>. The renderer docs will get a file upload section covering this.

The renderer docs now have a File uploads section, shipped with 5.3.0. It covers the C:\fakepath value, sending FormData from the new events.onSubmit callback, and the config.attrs for a plain multipart submit. Closing; please open a new issue if you still have trouble with uploads on 5.x.
