Problem to solve
The application currently captures and displays specific metrics in various tabs and not in others. Some key metrics are also present but not rendered in any main tab or tracked by a chart / graph. Instead of creating multiple feature requests for some of these I have consolidated the main ones for improvement.
The Voltage Management tab by default should show anything to do with voltage whether it be input, output, battery voltage.
Voltage Management Tab:
The Output Technical tab shows current (amps) and should be displayed, tracked, and available in a chart / graph instead of being hidden in the details tab as seen here. As it relates to the current (amps) in the UPS Status information tab it should display the min / max ~ If this metric won't be presented in any other main tab.
The UPS Status widget should display the output status, diagnostic results with date, battery installation date, and battery status.
UPS Information Tab:
It would make sense to track both current & frequency in the Power Management tab.
The application currently doesn't portray the specific information in a very meaningful way as it relates to important metrics as seen here. There is no guessing as to when the self test was completed and its status.
Another way to portray the battery installation date and runtime.
Uptime: This information and its other metrics are available but the application doesn't offer any ability to define, display, select it.
Proposed behavior
Voltage Management: Include the following information and metrics in this main tab: input, output, battery voltage, current (amps), frequency.
Output Technical: The current (amps) is only available in the details tab. As such this information or metric should be present in the Power Management tab either as a separate widget or incorporated into the UPS Status where it currently displays Load / Nominal Power.
If that box is to be used than I propose removing nominal power and adding in current (amps & frequency). Typically a Status tab would provide the most relevant information such as: Output Status, Load, Current, Voltage Input / Output, Frequency.
Metrics Display & Grouping: Below are image captures as to how some other NMS have ingested the data and displayed the same. Selecting any of the main header or target item will open chart, graphs, numerical metrics for live, defined period, and historic recall of all metrics.
Uptime: There are dozens of metrics which are available but not represented, displayed, or made available for selection such as Uptime, external temperature, humidity, and others:
