Problem to solve
The energy management tab only displays the accumulated values as it relates to energy, costs, load, CO2. It also displays accumulated energy as (W) or watts incorrectly instead of (kWh) energy that measures the total amount of electricity used over a period of time.
Proposed behavior
The system should track and display the following information for each category similar to what is seen in the image below for power management. Where it shows Min / Max the following proposal is offered for the Energy Management tab:
Total Energy Used: Display current rolling KWH accumulated day, week, and month. Energy display should be changed from (W) to kWh. Ideally it could be toggled to display current / previous days, weeks, months, years. Even better offer a calendar to to select a day or range of interests.
For now a simple update that displays the following information to be more useful or similar below are just examples open to changes.
IE: 5 kWh Today, 12 kWh Yesterday, 30 kWh Monthly total
Total Cost: Display accumulated monthly and yearly cost.
Average Load: Display previous days / months load average.
CO2 Emissions: Display monthly and yearly total
Alternatives considered
Ideally the application would support a calendar where a person could select a date range to have what ever information they wanted to be displayed in the widgets. Long term it would be of great value to see the ability to select any widget and the metrics for what ever period is displayed in a graph, chart, numeric values.
