Your next idea deserves a better reference folder.
Local portfolio archiving · Original assets · Published context · Verifiable files
Downloads · How it works · Source coverage · العربية
Paste a portfolio URL. Reference Vault discovers its public projects, saves the best available images and videos, and keeps the published descriptions and credits beside the files. Each project gets a folder, and each collection gets an offline gallery and a verification report.
Built for designers, art directors and curious people who are tired of unnamed screenshots, missing context and broken bookmarks.
- Project folders that make sense. Originals, published text, credits and source metadata stay together.
- Quality you can inspect. Actual dimensions, file size, source URL, rendition label and SHA-256 hashes. Reachable alternatives are identified honestly.
- Recoverable transfers. Persistent jobs, pause/resume, HTTP range support, ETag checks and retries. Locally modified originals are preserved.
- An archive you own. Browse
index.htmloffline. InspectASSETS.csv,manifest.json,SHA256SUMS.txtand the verification report without the app. - A quiet workspace. Dark navy, warm cream and restrained thermal motion. English/LTR by default, with a persistent Arabic text switch and reduced-motion support.
- Local processing. No account, paid extraction API, cloud upload or telemetry. Source websites still receive normal network requests.
Use the assets on the Releases page. Check the accompanying SHA-256 sums.
Windows: extract the Windows ZIP into a folder you own and run ReferenceVault.exe. Microsoft Edge and the WebView2 runtime are required. This initial build is not Authenticode signed.
Android: install the signed APK. The universal package includes ARM64, ARMv7, x86 and x86_64 runtimes and requires Android 7.0 / API 24 or newer. Processing and files live on the phone; a computer is not required. The application keeps its working archive in app storage. Use Export folder to copy the complete project tree to Downloads or a folder selected through Android's system picker. Keep exported copies before uninstalling, because Android removes app storage on uninstall.
Compatibility across the declared Android API range is a build target, not a claim that every device has been tested. See validation and limitations.

| Direct media links | One reference | Image, video or document |
Sites change. Sign-in requirements, access blocks, missing originals and unknown project totals are reported. A generic crawl is never presented as proof that every project on a site was found. Unpublished PSDs, editable source projects and DRM-protected media cannot be recovered from a final presentation.
Use Python 3.13 for the Windows application. The shared engine also runs under the bundled Android Python 3.12 runtime.
python -m venv .venv
.venv\Scripts\python -m pip install -r requirements.lock
.venv\Scripts\python -m reference_vault.appInstall Edge/WebView2 first. FFmpeg, ffprobe and yt-dlp are needed for video processing; see build instructions. --headless starts the authenticated local UI for development. Runtime connection details are private and should not be posted in issues.
.venv\Scripts\python -m unittest discover -s tests -v
.venv\Scripts\python -m reference_vault.app --diagnosticsReal-world parser fixtures, better coverage reports, accessibility fixes and reproducible bug reports are welcome. Read CONTRIBUTING.md. Please avoid uploading copyrighted project media, private URLs, credentials or runtime tokens.
