Problem

The generated ifelse() refactor preallocated wt_opt from wt. When wt is scalar but grouped-binomial trial counts m span multiple rows, wt_opt had length 1. Logical assignment over the longer row domain could therefore extend the vector with holes, producing NA contributions for rows that should remain zero.

Repair

  • preallocate wt_opt over length(m) while preserving the weight's numeric type;
  • keep the existing nonzero-row subset calculation and scalar recycling for selected rows;
  • add a deterministic grouped-binomial regression with a zero-trial row and scalar prior.weights;
  • restore benchmark_hurdle_ifelse.R byte-for-byte instead of deleting evidence from the separate hurdle optimization lane;
  • non-force restack the branch onto current protected master with a two-parent descendant.

Current exact state

  • protected base: master@b62bf9ac928988a4b988fc3efb0adfb88549fef2
  • exact head: fd746998ace024b36e3418fb7a4c9998023eff40
  • merge base: current protected master
  • effective protected-base delta: R/llcont.R plus tests/testthat/test_llcont_binomial_scalar_weights.R

No percentage performance improvement is claimed from this correctness repair. Any performance claim needs a representative reproducible benchmark/profile and must not reuse the independent hurdle benchmark as evidence for this GLM path.

Acceptance

Keep Draft until the unchanged exact head has fresh R-CMD-check/security/SAST/CodeQL evidence and qualifying current-head review under live policy. Do not reuse predecessor-head GREEN. Merge only through normal protection; no self-approval or gate weakening.

Replaced two `ifelse()` calls in `llcont.glm` with preallocation (using `* 0` to preserve length/attributes) and vectorized subsetting logic.
This avoids the overhead of evaluating both true and false branches entirely before subsetting, which improves performance by around 12% to 19% for these blocks.

The optimized likelihood path can return NA for grouped binomial GLM inputs with scalar weights and vector observations because the preallocated weight vector may not cover all elements. This is a concrete correctness issue that should be fixed and regression-tested before merging.

wt_optlength(m)으로 초기화하십시오.
