This pull request is closed because it depended on superseded ancestry-diverged PR #126 and GitHub reported it non-mergeable. PR #131 reconstructs the same standards-based conditional status behavior from replacement PR #130 exact head f7502de7402fc63868d110d3d7a87b728078fb35 through connector-backed auditable commits.

This PR and its branch remain preserved as the original fail-first evidence, including the null-versus-empty validator collision regression. The replacement does not force-push this branch, discard predecessor work, or use ours/theirs conflict heuristics.
