fix(meshcore): keep own replies on the message they answer - #1351
In a MeshCore channel, a reply to an earlier message could jump to a newer message from the same person. It was reported on Windows with v6.5.0, but the code is shared by every platform and is the same on main.
To reproduce: a bot acks your test, then acks someone else's. Reply "Thank you" to the ack addressed to you. Your reply shows up attached to the bot's later ack, the one addressed to the other person, and stays that way after a restart.
Cause
refreshMeshcoreReplyParent treats a reply as incoming when the target's name differs from the row's sender. Every reply you send to someone else meets that test. Incoming replies without a #key get re-resolved to the target's newest message. A short body like "Thank you" never counts as quoting the original (GENERIC_MESHCORE_REPLY_BODIES), so the reply moved. syncMeshcoreDisplayReplyRepairs then wrote the moved reply to SQLite. The function's doc comment already said own rows keep the composer's replyId, but nothing in the code checked for own rows.
Fix
meshcoreChatMessagesForDisplay and repairMeshcoreDisplayMessages take { selfNodeId }. A row counts as your own when its sender_id equals selfNodeId, or equals its radioNodeId. radioNodeId is the radio that recorded the row, and both DB rows and live store inserts set it. Own rows that have a replyId from the composer skip the name-based re-resolve, and their preview is still filled from the message they point at. An own row with only a target name and no replyId (an echo of a keyless reply heard before its parent) still resolves by name, because the name is all it has.
The callers pass the node id: App.tsx (its output is what gets saved), ChatPanel.tsx (it re-runs the repair on App's output) and useMeshcoreRuntime.ts. DB hydration (mapMeshcoreDbRowsToChatMessages) relies on each row's radio_node_id.
Replies from other people work as before. A keyless @[Name] reply still resolves to that person's newest earlier message, because the wire carries only the name.
Not changed
Replies already rewritten in someone's database stay where they moved to. The original key isn't stored anywhere.
The default keyless wire @[Name] body can't say which of a person's messages you replied to, so other clients still attach the reply to that person's newest message. That's the companion wire format. MeshCore Open compatibility (Radio settings) sends keyed replies.
Protocol scope: MeshCore only. Meshtastic replies carry packet ids and Reticulum replies carry message hashes, so neither re-resolves a reply by name.
Testing
New cases in meshcoreChannelText.test.ts:
an own reply keeps its parent when selfNodeId is passed;
the same with only radioNodeId on the rows;
the same through DB hydration;
an own row with only a target name still threads by name (from CodeRabbit's review; it failed on the first commit);
someone else's name-only reply still moves to the newest message (the existing contract).
Before the fix, the three own-reply cases failed with the reply moved to the later message (expected 3000 to be 2000).
pnpm run check:pr on the first commit: full lint, typecheck, strict shared typecheck and full Vitest. 17,774 tests passed, 0 failed.
On the follow-up commit: vitest related for meshcoreChannelText.ts (4,485 tests passed) and typecheck.
Replying in a MeshCore channel to an earlier message from someone who has
posted since could move the reply to their newest message. The chat view
repair treated every reply to another name as one heard on the wire,
where only the name is known, and re-resolved it to that sender's latest
message. A short body such as "Thank you" never counted as quoting the
original, so the repair always moved it, and the result was saved back
to the database.
Rows this radio sent now keep the reply chosen in the composer. A row is
own when its sender is this radio's node number, or the radio that
recorded it. Replies from other people still resolve by name as before.

Walkthrough
MeshCore display repair now receives the local node identity and uses it to distinguish self-authored replies from incoming replies when resolving reply parents.
Display repair accepts an optional selfNodeId. It uses that identity, or the recording radio ID as a fallback, to exclude self-authored replies from incoming-reply resolution and fallback upgrades.
Pass local identity and verify reply parents src/renderer/App.tsx, src/renderer/components/ChatPanel.tsx, src/renderer/runtime/useMeshcoreRuntime.ts, src/renderer/lib/meshcoreChannelText.test.ts
Renderer call sites pass the local node ID to display repair. Tests cover retained parents for self-authored replies, including database-row mapping, and continued repair of name-only incoming replies.
Some replies may remain unthreaded after their parent loads. This is a narrow edge case that can be fixed or accepted before merging.

Allow parent backfill when an own-sent reply has no replyId.

Allow parent backfill when an own-sent reply has no replyId.
If a keyless reply from this radio arrives before its parent, the incoming builder can retain replyPreviewSender without a replyId. When the parent arrives in historical messages, ownSent now blocks the fallback upgrade, so the reply stays unthreaded. Preserve an existing own-sent replyId, but allow resolution when replyId is absent. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Review comment at @src/renderer/lib/meshcoreChannelText.ts at line 1062:
Update the parent-resolution fallback condition so an own-sent reply can be
backfilled when it lacks a replyId, while preserving any existing own-sent
replyId. Locate the fallback branch guarded by ownSent, parent, targetName, and
explicitWireKey.

An own row can hold a reply target name without a replyId, for example
an echo of a keyless reply heard before its parent. Skipping the name
lookup for every own row left those unthreaded. Only own rows with a
replyId from the composer now keep their parent; the rest resolve by
name like any other reply.
Fixed in a8c50b9. Only own rows that have a replyId from the composer now skip the name lookup. An own row with just a target name, such as an echo of a keyless reply heard before its parent, resolves by name like any other reply. The new test "threads my own row by name when it carries only the target name" failed on 9df7ea3 and passes now.
