The release merged as 4.9.0 (#3) also carried the commit that withdraws Stop. That removes cancelled, /api/cancel, the cancel sentinel and the CANCELLED event — all four shipped in v4.8.1, so the release is MAJOR, not MINOR.

  • Both host manifests go to 5.0.0.
  • The changelog entry now covers the whole release, breaking changes first: the Stop withdrawal, the host-profiles move, the handshake-backed Linked state, the cog's version row, and the carried-comment reply fix.

No code changes — #3 is the release, this corrects how it is numbered and described.

The release merged as 4.9.0 also carried the commit that withdraws Stop, which
removes `cancelled`, `/api/cancel`, the `cancel` sentinel and the CANCELLED
event. All four shipped in v4.8.1, so this is a breaking change to the protocol
and the release is MAJOR.

The changelog entry covered the annotation tools and the two watcher fixes and
said nothing about the rest of what is in the release. It now covers the whole
of it, breaking changes first.
