Submitted via czdev publish. The .deb is hosted on the contributor's buffer release; CI verifies the sha256 and, on merge, promotes it into the official apt-pool release.

What's new in ZeroRadio 1.2.0

Memories (new app)

  • Lists your saved frequencies, grouped by tag, and opens one in the SDR with its mode. The list ships empty.
  • Press M in the SDR to save the tuned frequency and mode, or in the Scanner to save the selected peak. Holding key 6 on the first page does the same. A frequency already saved in the same mode is not saved twice.
  • EDIT page: rename a memory, change its group or mode, and delete it with two presses.
  • Memory scan: mark memories, or pick a group, and scan them in the SDR. The scan stops where the squelch opens, listens until the transmission ends, then moves on. Keys pause, skip, lock out a channel or stop.

SDR

  • Squelch on a new SQL page, with a 2.5 s hold. The S-meter now measures the signal inside the passband.
  • Frequency correction for the dongle's crystal (CAL on the GAIN page). It shows the correction in ppm and Hz, and it is saved.
  • The audio no longer drops out: the capture rate is always a multiple of 240 kHz, so the audio runs at exactly 48 kHz.
  • The 1, 1.5 and 2 MHz zooms now show their full width. The device captures up to 2.16 Msps.

Scanner

  • Peaks sit at their real frequency. Before, rtl_power sweeps showed them about half a bin high, roughly +30 kHz on a 20 MHz span.
  • Enter on the PEAKS page opens the selected peak in the SDR.
