Design concepts and custom WordPress themes for The Wesleyan Science Journal. A showcase of five distinct visual identities and layout designs.
The Wesleyan Science Journal is a student-run publication at Wesleyan University publishing peer-reviewed research and science journalism.
To help the editorial board decide on their visual brand and web layout, this project developed five distinct design prototypes built from scratch in custom WordPress templates. Each concept explores different typographic styles, color accents, and article layouts.

Every theme satisfies the core publication requirements: featured current issues, searchable archives, author credits, and distinct sections for research papers versus science news.

This repository contains design prototypes and concept themes developed for the editorial board's review. Screenshots and demo pages use placeholder articles and mock covers to evaluate visual hierarchy.
