Bug: nodes sometimes fail to connect after drag#586

When dragging a connection between nodes, occasionally the connection snaps back instead of connecting. This happens more frequently with nested nodes. Will add more details once I can reliably reproduce.

    Not reproducible after further testing. Will reopen if I can find a reliable reproduction.
