Description
PointDev needs ecosystem traction beyond solo development.
Developer audience (current)
- Engage with MCP community (Anthropic's Model Context Protocol) — PointDev's bridge server already implements MCP tool handlers
- Post to relevant dev communities (HN Show, r/ClaudeAI, r/cursor, IndieHackers)
- Open PRs on open source AI tools (Aider, Continue) demonstrating format integration
- Technical blog post on detection architecture and temporal correlation
Broader audience (enabled by the open format)
The structured capture format carries full technical precision regardless of whether the person capturing is technical. This opens PointDev to:
- Design-to-dev handoff — designers circle what's wrong, developers receive DOM context
- Client feedback on staging sites — no more "the text on the homepage? The big one?"
- QA reporting — captures include console errors and network failures alongside spatial feedback
- Accessibility auditors — structured captures with WCAG violations (see Adopt accessibility capture from pi-annotate patterns #23)
The collaborative feedback narrative strengthens the NLnet commons argument: an open format for structured web feedback that travels between people and organizations needs to be an open standard, not a proprietary format.

- Conference presence (MWC/4YFN network, European developer communities)
