FoamSync 1.0.13 adds two new shape generators (Cornice and Grid Sketch),
reworks how internal cut-outs are toolpathed so they are correct for a hot wire,
improves surface quality with per-material feed calibration, and ships an
updated End-User License Agreement.

Cornice generator — decorative trim & moulding

A new GEN tab generates classic architectural moulding profiles
(6 built-in profiles) as ready-to-cut parts, fully parametric and routed
straight into nesting and CAM.

Grid Sketch — draw your own profile

A new GRID tab lets you draw a custom closed contour on a snap grid:

  • Polyline editor — draw, drag, insert and delete points, with undo and
    live self-intersection checking so you can't generate an invalid profile.
  • Per-edge arcs — pull any edge into a curve (bulge handles).
  • Inner holes — add cut-outs that are toolpathed as proper pockets.
  • Symmetry / mirror — draw one half; FoamSync reflects and welds it.
  • Trace-image backdrop — load a reference photo and trace over it
    (adjustable opacity).
  • Sizing & quantity — explicit aspect-locked H × W, a fit-to-block %, and a
    quantity that is laid out automatically by the nester.

Cut quality — per-material feed & adaptive corners (opt-in)

When a material is calibrated, FoamSync now drives a calibrated feed rate per
material and automatically slows down through tight curvature for cleaner
corners and edges. Off by default — existing toolpaths are unchanged until you
opt in via material calibration.

🔧 Improvements & fixes

One entry per internal cut-out (hot-wire correct)

A spar slot or internal hole could previously be cut as two separate plunges
with two outside entries — in effect slicing the part in half. Internal
cut-outs are now stitched into the outer contour with a single retraced
lead-in: one slit and one approach per pocket. Applies to NACA spar slots
and Grid holes.

NACA spar slot — round, single pocket

The spar slot now defaults to a round hole cut as a single pocket with a
single entry (square / rectangular still available) — no more two-element,
two-entry slot.

3D preview camera

The orbit view now centres on the stock block, so the part stays framed in the
viewport instead of sliding under the bottom panel.

📄 Licensing

The End-User License Agreement & Liability Waiver has been updated to v1.1
(Balcore Systems, Germany). You will be asked to review and accept it once
on the first launch of this version. The installer's licence page and the
in-app agreement are identical.

⬇️ Install / upgrade

  1. Download FoamSync-1.0.13-Setup.exe.
  2. Run it (it requests administrator rights and installs into Program Files
    for a tamper-resistant install).
  3. Existing installs upgrade in place — your licence and machine profile are
    preserved    .
  4. Accept the updated EULA on first launch.
