Description
This is overdue and should speed up our pre-commit checks. There will eventually be a replacement for mypy, too, once
tyis no longer in an alpha version. The files to review are pyproject.toml and the pre-commit-config.yaml, everything else is just the fixes it came up with.Tests and Documentation
