Hi, I'm Sarp AKAR
I am a Grade 12 student at ODTÜ Development Foundation Schools with a strong interest in science, technology, engineering, and research.
My academic interests first grew through Biology, marine science, and environmental research. Over time, my curiosity expanded toward engineering, aviation, space science, and technology as I became increasingly interested in understanding how complex systems work and how different scientific fields connect with one another.
Today, I am particularly interested in:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Aviation and Flight Systems
- Engineering Design
- Artificial Intelligence
- Programming and Technology
- Data Analysis and Modeling
- Astronomy and Space Science
- Scientific Research
To explore these interests, I develop independent projects that combine science, mathematics, engineering, and data analysis.
Recent projects include:
- Why Is 45° So Important?
- How Much Would You Weigh on Earth, Moon, and Mars?
- Why Do Aircraft Wings Produce Lift?
- Would a Projectile Travel Farther on the Moon?
- Rocket Trajectory Simulator
- Aircraft Wing Lift Calculator
- Gear Train & Power Transmission Calculator
- NASA Space Apps Challenge
- NASA Aerospace Learning Series
- International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC)
- NASA Citizen Science Projects
- GLOBE Observer
- Clear Skies - Kiruna
- The Daily Minor Planet
- Space Warps – ESA Euclid
- iNaturalist Citizen Science
Through these experiences, I continue developing skills in research, problem-solving, quantitative analysis, programming, engineering design, and scientific communication.
My long-term goal is to continue learning, building, and exploring opportunities in aerospace engineering, technology, and scientific research while contributing to future innovation.
Always curious. Always learning.
