DesertDustPlugin is a plugin I created for a Minecraft social experiment event I hosted and ran the features/mechanics of my event for the players.
Desert Dusts is a social event set in the Wild West and is primarily located within the Badlands and Desert biomes on a custom edited map. Players were assigned to one of three teams: Lawful, Outlaws, or Citizens. Each with their own unique mechanics and goals for the event.
Primary Features:
- Gold Counter (Tallies player's gold or specified items and adds it to a scoreboard)
- Death Handling (Law kills send players to a specific location)
- Custom Item Drops (Dictates what items players can drop when they die)
- Kill Handling (Citizens who kill non-Outlaws become Outlaws and tracks player kills for bounty drops)
- Bounty Command (Players can add bounties to other players with the gold ingots in their main hand. Bounties are stored as a scoreboard)
- Dynamic Teams (Allows many in-game teams to be apart of the overarching group of teams: Law, Citizen, and Outlaw)
- Disease (Adds one of two diseases to the game that can be caught and spread by players and uses various potion effects to simulate worsening symptoms)
- Scoreboard Statistics (Uses scoreboards to store and track multiple statistics including highest gold count, highest bounty, times imprisoned, players imprisoned, times infected, and players infected)
- Death Message Visibility (Lets you completely disable death messages or limit it to specific teams or nearby players within a range)
- Bail Command & Prison Range (Allows players to bail other players out of jail and prevents Outlaws from killing themselvers or each other to escape)
