Say My Name is a simple FFXIV Dalamud plugin that changes your own character's name in your game client.
Intended for anonymizing yourself when streaming, recording, or taking screenshots.
Replaces your character name in the following locations:
- The Display Name shown above your character.
- The party list (including when solo).
- The target and focus bars.
- All outgoing chat sender prefixes.
Open the plugin settings from Dalamud, or type:
/saymyname
Enable the plugin, enter the display name you want to use, and the visible name fields on your client will update.
- This plugin is intended for local UI customization and privacy. It DOES NOT rename your character on the server or change what other players see.
- The Display Name above your character will not change if you don't have both a surname and last name set.
- Some UI visuals may not refresh immediately when disabling the plugin. Clicking on the party list for example will force a refresh.
