Summary

  • `compute` is a separately-installed `datumctl` plugin (confirmed via `datumctl plugin list`), not bundled with `go install go.datum.net/datumctl@latest`.
  • The Deploy workflow never installed it, so the first real CI run failed with `error: unknown flag: --image` -- the root `datumctl` command doesn't recognize the `compute deploy` subcommand at all without the plugin, and silently falls back to printing its own top-level help.

Test plan

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

\`compute\` is a separately-installed plugin, not bundled with
\`go install go.datum.net/datumctl@latest\`. A fresh install in CI has no
plugins at all, so \`datumctl compute deploy\` doesn't exist yet -- it
fails with \`error: unknown flag: --image\` because the root command
silently falls back to printing its own help instead of the subcommand's.
