Desktop 3D Office for Pi Pocket

Replaces the earlier native-first Office v2 integration with the original desktop 3D experience. Existing Office is not replaced by this branch or its package.

  • Authorized root/master conversations form the elevator's floor catalogue.
  • A separate Master desk occupies the existing raised loft; 16 regular desks represent linked child conversations.
  • A full-window desktop host contains both the world and the native Pocket conversation inspector. Browser fullscreen remains intact during inspection and floor changes.
  • Hiring requires an initial task. Follow-ups can open as reviewed, unsent native drafts. Releasing a desk does not stop or delete its conversation.
  • Account-owned avatar appearance and ephemeral multiplayer presence use extension routes, not an Office backend or WebSocket service.
  • Unsupported GitHub, shell, repository, and standalone runtime controls are blocked rather than presented as working.
  • Desktop only: minimum 1024×600, original desktop HUD, bounded dialogs, and no phone-style extension panel or mobile fallback.

Pocket SDK dependency

Requires TannerMidd/pi-pocket#129 for the authorized conversation catalogue and native pocket.Conversation view. Stock Pocket 0.19 cannot provide this workflow. No live core files, settings, credentials, or databases were edited. Installing that core update requires owner approval and a restart.

Verification

  • Office regression: 677 tests pass.
  • Required Pocket SDK branch: full suite 401/401 passes at concurrency 2, plus check/lint. Its prior failures were traced to asynchronous history cleanup between browser tests; two test-only waits fix the cause without weakening assertions or increasing timeout limits.
  • Integration against the updated isolated Pocket checkout: 18 tests pass.
  • Typecheck, standalone client/server builds, and Pocket package build pass.
  • Desktop layout fixture passes at 1280×800, 1440×900, 1024×768, and 1920×1080.
  • Complete real-WebGL acceptance passed: two authenticated users, real WASD movement, required-task rejection, exactly one linked child, a shared worker desk, native child chat, human follow-up, unsent review draft, explicit Send, actual isolated bash/printf execution, native Allow approval, Master isolation, and elevator switching without moving workers or teammates or exiting fullscreen.
  • Fresh-browser account appearance, desktop inspector bounds at 1280×800 and 1024×768, small-window rejection, Escape/focus cleanup, zero browser exceptions, and zero Office WebSockets all passed.
  • The preview and browser closed normally after the complete run. Representative screenshots are generated under dist/screenshots/office-v2-*.png.
  • The final acceptance fixes are test-only: lifecycle waits, real interaction-circle navigation, nonempty worker/client-state checks, and normalization of authenticated sender labels in the scripted model. Production runtime was not redesigned to make the test pass.
  • A complete staged extension archive was built from commit 0021da0. Live rollout still requires the separately reviewed Pocket SDK update and owner-approved installation/restart.

See docs/pi-pocket.md for packaging, isolated scripted-model testing, public SDK boundaries, lifecycle behavior, and deployment constraints. Nothing in this PR deploys or restarts a live Pocket installation.
