To exclude certain areas from the inversion, we must set the coefficient value to 0. We might want to do this to different places for different coefficients. global_mask is applied to the whole domain; coeff_masks allows coefficient-specific masks to be applied. Where True, the coefficient is applied, where False, it's set to 0.

This extends (and combines) kill_icebergs() to allow patches of grounded ice (or all isolated ice) to also be removed. This can be useful for cleaning up/simplifying a complex mask.
