feat: share project plugin setups with team restore monitors - #549
The restore panel now shows project installation, committing uap.toml/uap.lock, and a teammate restoring the same versions. Both displays reuse one transparent generated monitor matched to the saved approved reference, with selectable HTML commands, keyboard-accessible copy controls, and responsive layouts. The existing site background remains; copy is updated in nine locales and Guide opens released project-restore instructions.
Bare agentplugins install now selects project scope only for a regular uap.toml in the exact working directory, unless scope is explicit. Existing locks are strictly validated before changes; only a missing lock allows first-install resolution. --locked additionally requires its presence. Preview shows the selected environment and paths. Positional-source installs retain add behavior. These conveniences are documented as unreleased; the public panel uses the released explicit project/locked flags.
Validation includes landing unit/contract tests, localization policy, Vue typecheck, lint, 952-route production generation, responsive/theme/localized-homepage browser checks and real clipboard/text selection. CLI tests cover scope selection, strict-lock refusals without writes/acquisition, real Git/Gemini project creation and exact replay, and user isolation. The Windows path assertion compares directory identity rather than short/long spelling. Final CI is required before merge.
The approved reference and generation provenance are saved in docs/design/restore-team/. Uniform-scale visual comparison puts the monitor silhouette within about one pixel of the reference height at 671px width. No CLI release is included.
Argumentless agentplugins install now infers project scope from a regular uap.toml in the current directory and validates existing locks before convergence. The restore interface and related documentation now show a project-based workflow for sharing pinned plugin versions with a team.
Changes: Project installation and team restore
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Install scope and lock selection cli/internal/agentpluginscli/app.go, cli/internal/agentpluginscli/install.go
Argumentless install selects project scope when the current directory contains a regular uap.toml. The command uses an existing lock to determine locked-only behavior and records the selected scope and paths.
Selection validation and result output cli/internal/agentpluginscli/install_selection_test.go, cli/internal/agentpluginscli/install_e2e_test.go, cli/cmd/agentplugins/project_install_selection_e2e_test.go, cli/internal/agentpluginscli/deps_apply.go, cli/internal/agentpluginscli/deps_render.go, cli/internal/agentpluginscli/deps_transfer_e2e_test.go
Tests cover scope selection, lock validation, preview details, repeated installs, and project-state preservation. Dependency results report selection details, and transfer tests explicitly use user scope.
Install and restore guidance docs/PROJECT_INSTALLATION.md, docs/UAP_DEPENDENCIES.md, website/source/*/guide/quickstart.md, website/source/*/use/manage.md, landing/tests/public-authoring.test.ts
The guidance describes inferred project scope and lock validation. Restore examples after dependency import specify user scope.
Team restore interface and localized content landing/components/registry/RegistryRestore.vue, landing/components/registry/CommandSnippet.vue, landing/locales/*.json, docs/design/restore-team/asset-provenance.json, landing/tests/browser/*
The landing page presents project add and locked project install commands in monitor illustrations. Localized copy describes committing the manifest and lock file with the project. Browser tests cover layout, themes, locales, and command copying.

The CLI behavior change looks sound. Fix the documentation first: users recovering from a failed project import are sent to the user environment, and the released-version wording suggests behavior that CLI 0.1.90 does not have. The landing Guide link should also point to the project restore instructions.

PR summary: This PR reworks the landing page's restore section into a team workflow (install for a project, commit `uap.toml`/`uap.lock`, restore the same versions) and changes bare `agentplugins install` to select project scope when the exact working directory contains a regular `uap.toml`, while validating an existing lock strictly.
Review summary
Reviewed the CLI scope-selection change (new selectInstallScope/installLockedOnly in cli/internal/agentpluginscli/install.go plus the selection output plumbing) and the landing changes (CommandSnippet.vue default slot and the rewritten RegistryRestore.vue monitors). The automatic project-scope selection is restricted to argumentless install, the exact working directory, and a regular non-symlink uap.toml, with explicit --scope always winning; an existing uap.lock always takes the strict validation path and cannot be relaxed by --locked=false; derived paths are canonicalised and contained to the project root; and the new install preview prints the selected scope and agreement paths before the confirmation gate. The new <slot> in CommandSnippet renders only static template markup at its two call sites, with dynamic registry data still flowing through escaped text interpolation, so no HTML injection path was introduced. No security issues were confirmed in the changed code.
Ruled out (2)
Can a hostile repository-supplied `uap.toml` make a bare `agentplugins install` install attacker-chosen packages the user never authorized? It is an intentional, documented scope-selection feature: the risky path needs an argumentless install in the exact directory, a regular non-symlink manifest, and the preview plus interactive confirmation (or `--yes`) gating apply, and the repo could already commit client config the agents load.
Does the non-symlink enforcement only covering auto-detection let a symlinked `uap.toml`/`uap.lock` escape the project root under explicit project scope? The explicit-scope read path is unchanged by this PR, planting the symlink requires the same write access as a regular manifest, and path containment plus symlink-refusing atomic writes keep all effects inside the canonical project root.
