Purpose

ChatGPT has no native filesystem project plugin scope. Reject project requests before source acquisition, locks, .uap creation, user changes, or remote effects; preserve the existing user personal/manual preparation behavior.

Changes

Direct, mixed, saved and imperative project requests now have a consistent unsupported-scope boundary. Saved manifest preflight runs before environment locking, while the authoritative locked reread and mutation checks remain intact. Direct adapter activation/deactivation also refuse project bypasses.

Review and validation

Both independent implementation review/fix rounds are GO; committed reports describe the no-effect and user-preservation checks. The fresh combined public project CLI run on the integrated source passed in 97.217s on Linux, including this client boundary. Current shared CI failures in canonical temporary-directory fixtures and the frozen authoring-documentation projection are tracked in the project feature follow-up and do not originate in this eleven-file leaf. They are not reported as passing.

Integration

Ready for merging into feat/project-install-e2e (#472) only. This merge qualifies the explicit unsupported ChatGPT project boundary, not a native ChatGPT installation, remote app registration, main-branch merge, or release.
