App not responding when launched on macOS

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install Radiance on a fresh copy of macOS Big Sur (I suspect any macOS version will do).
2. (Perform workaround described in Crash when launching Radiance on macOS #115).
3. Launch the app.

Result:
The app hangs. No GUI is displayed.

Notes:
The app requests access to the microphone as expected.
