Describe the bug

If the "Active" toggle in the EasyEffects system tray (KDE) widget is disabled, and the app is restarted, the "Active" state will be set to on every time.

Expected Behavior

The "Active" toggle should remain in the state it was prior to the application shutting down.
Kindly let me know if a debug log would be useful and I can provide one.

And that is what is happening on my computer. And as far as I am aware using flatpak should not break that. I wonder if the application is being killed instead of properly finishing. In this case our database would not be able to save the state.

How are you shutting the app down? Killing it or using the exit from one of our menus?

Interesting, I'm using the exit option from the tray flyout. I also have it running as a startup item and it usually closes when I log off of my GUI session. It happens both ways.

Kill easyeffects and restart it in debug mode https://github.com/wwmm/easyeffects/wiki/Reporting-Bugs#basic-logs. Maybe some kind of error is printed when changing the active button state.
