Explore additional changes with resolution

Changes in shelf CSHT seem to be small between resolutions, so perhaps would be useful to look at other variables offshore.

How does other variables change with resolution? Possible things to look at:

• Sea ice extent, SIC, SIT
• EKE offshore
• ASC
• Meridional heat transport

It seems that the maximum winter/spring (months 8-11) sea ice extent decreases and gets closer to obs in higher resolution :

This winter decrease in sea ice pushes the sea ice edge distribution closer to obs in some regions (e.g., e,f between [-280, -150]). Some regions where sea ice retreats have an increase in EKE too . So perhaps stronger eddy activity in higher resolutions constrain the sea ice growth . Tho it could be a chicken and egg problem, the signal is a bit more clear in SIC than in the other variables (EKE, extent), and is perhaps less clear east of -150

The total ocean heat transport also seem to increase a lot with resolution [a], especially in the regions below sea ice. Notice that sea ice concentration is also lower in the higher resolutions everywhere north of 64S. Perhaps the increase in MHT is then linked/driving the sea ice decrease.
