Doesn't appear to work (big sur 11.2.2)

After cloning, compiling from source, and making sure some of pywal's cache, etc are around I got it to run, but cannot get any output or changes.
target/release/lule create --wallpath=$(dirname $pic) -- set | target/release/lule colors -g
