Welcome to the Eyeris Wiki

Eyeris is a full-stack, self-hosted image and video management platform designed for large personal or home-lab libraries stored on NAS/SMB storage.

Core Mission

To provide a fast, simple, and private way to browse and organize your media without relying on cloud services, while leveraging local AI for deep organization.

Key Features

  • Automatic NAS Scanning: Recursively discovers media across multiple SMB/CIFS shares
  • Video Support: Integrated playback for common formats (.mp4, .mkv, .mov, etc.) with thumbnail preview
  • AI Tag Ingestion: Automatically imports descriptions and tags from A-Eye XMP sidecars
  • Active A-Eye Push: Send untagged images and videos to A-Eye directly from the Dashboard — tags auto-import within 5 minutes
  • Face Detection & Grouping: YOLOv8 + FaceNet face clustering with adjustable sensitivity slider
  • Visual Duplicate Detection: SHA-256 deduplication plus perceptual hash similarity grouping
  • Settings Persistence: All settings (including A-Eye credentials) survive container recreation
  • Privacy First: Everything runs locally. No data leaves your network.
