Planning recommendations

• Epic: UC-3 Skins (68% complete) — this is a natural fit for the remaining work.
• Milestone: Beta — skins work is actively in progress and RTL is a core layout concern that should land before GA.
• Scope: Both pkg:html and pkg:react skins will need RTL handling; a shared direction utility or context likely lives in pkg:core or pkg:utils.

Implementation direction

The referenced approaches (shadcn, Base UI DirectionProvider) both follow the same pattern:

• A DirectionProvider / context that sets dir="rtl" and exposes direction to descendants.
• CSS logical properties (margin-inline-start vs margin-left, inset-inline-end, etc.) throughout the skin so layout flips automatically without JS.
• No mirroring of icons that represent physical actions (play triangle, volume speaker) — only layout properties flip.

This aligns well with the existing data-attribute/CSS-variable styling approach in the skin. The bulk of the work is auditing skin CSS for physical properties and replacing them with logical equivalents, plus wiring up a direction context for the React player.
