[BUG] editing the middle of a word

Steps to Reproduce

1. Make a longer sentense with an longer word typo marked in red and try to correct the typo selecting the middle of the word and removing or adding a character.
2. The edition is almost impossible
3. backspace can be used to correct but this is very user unfriendly.

Expected Behavior
edit word marked as red without having to delete thee word starting at the end.

Actual Behavior
Getting the edit cursor on the middle of a word to correct it is very frustrating
