Do you plan to add version recognition?

Some devices can see the firmware and release version information in the front desk according to the features or in the back panel of the login, but it is still a large workload and needs to be collected. If you have ideas, I will fork some fingerprint information in the future. In short, it is a good project.

thank you so much for showing interest in the tool and opening this issue. You have made a great point about the version recognition and I believe this is something which we can definitely do as part of Genzai V2. The vulnerability scanning module that we currently have in place certainly has entries which flags vulnerabilities based on certain affected versions so along with that also mentioning the extracted versions of all IoT products would be a valuable addition for sure.

Ideally we can create a version extraction regex for products currently part of signatures.json file and I could modify the json structure to even accommodate those regexes. Then its all about extracting them within the tool and displaying it as part of output. Writing the code for parsing the regexes from the db and extracting the versions will be pretty straightforward, its just that we will have to manually write the regexes for these products which can be a little time taking.

I will be travelling to Singapore and Dubai in the next couple of weeks to present Genzai and BucketLoot so once I am back we can plan this out better and get set cracking 🚀
