Consider polyfilling date and time inputs

There are a few browsers that don't support these.

Maybe we can polyfill them? Or, perhaps we should bring in a date/time picker dependency? Or, perhaps we should just let it fail and make a decision as to which browsers we intend to support.

IMHO native date/time pickers are shit. I'd rather have a dependency thats consistent and works well.

The more I think about it, the kind of picker depends highly on the context. It's almost always going to be restricted or refined based on what the scenario needs.

• Just a single date?
• With a year? is it in the past or future? How far forward/back?
• Date range? How wide a range?
• For time, any time of day? 15 min increments? 30min? 1 hour?

I'm not sure we should over-engineer the default version of this.

Perhaps a good baseline should probably be as simple as possible, with separate dropdowns for month and date, and maybe just text input for the year.

Same for time: dropdowns for hour, minute and am/pm.
