Briefly working and changes being reset despite GUI saying the game has been changed

Encountering this issue with Total War: Warhammer III, added an alternative launch option that launches a 3rd party UI. It was working fine till I restarted my computer, after which I had to simply redo the Save Changes process. I made a mistake of saying "always launch with this option" on the alternate launch option when it prompted me, and now it won't open the selection screen and simply launches the game normally even when I save changes again.

You can try reverting the changes and making them again.
