Sometimes it can be helpful to resize objects without maintaining their aspect ratio. This could be implemented for example by double-tapping on the resizing handle, similar to disabling snapping.

I'm having trouble thinking of a use case for this. It would only make sense for imported images (not for symbols, qr codes, text), but I don't see why an image would need to lose it's correct proportions. Please provide real life uses cases, where this would really make sense.

Yes, it's especially useful for imported images. For example, I wanted to reduce the length of the logo in my example I shared in #27, without reducing its height. Another example would be fitting graphics into a given area, where the aspect ratio isn't particularly important, like various icons, flags, anything that extends only in one direction (like an array of lines).
