After running Skystats on my site for about a month, I noticed these outliers:

My gut feeling tells me this categorizer just looks at the callsign prefixes of the aircraft and simply accepts the lookup results from the backend. My reasoning:
DAG is not an airline/operator listed in the current (as of this post) list provided by the FAA
FCM hasn't flown any aircraft in my area during the time I used Skystats, cross-checked with commercial and open aggregators
MTC does not exist in the FAA operators list like the first point
- All the above points use IATA codes that correspond to prefixes used by American aircraft when they use their registration as their callsign (
N2, N7, N4, N9, etc)
