I'd love to know if it still works.

SnapChat changed their authentication system some time ago, and this - and most (all?) of the public code no longer works. Based on how the market for third-party clients work, and the finances involved - it's somewhat doubtful there will be public working code again (at least for any length of time).

Easy access ended some time ago. The working third-party clients use some ugly (and expensive) techniques to get around the blocks. Generally, only those that are willing to spend a lot of time reverse engineering the system have a chance, and those that do - typically chose to make a profit off of it, instead of making it public and having the technique broken in days.

So, it's not an area I would advise people to waste their time on.
