Enhanced registration of converters, type overrides, etc

Enhance the registration of converters, custom metadata, and type overrides.  
This includes setting aliases, turning on/off properties, adding converters, 
etc.  Make it easier and more straight-forward to do.

Make use of generic Func/Actions whenever possible.  Review other projects such 
as Castle.Windsor, AutoMapper, etc for ideas.
