Not entirely sure what is going on here, since curl is complaining that the record can't be resolved even though the AAAA record is clearly known. I'd try to check what DNS server curl is using, and try with setting a specific DNS (the one which did reserve the query). On my laptop and a remote machine, it works out of the box with both curl and curl -6
