I sincerely apologise in advance for any grammatical errors. English is not my mother tongue.

I tried several times to build a working mycelium binary for i686-unknown-linux-gnu architecture.
I have built the binary both in i686 and amd64 systems, using the latest version of rust.
The result is still hopelessly the same. The built package works perfectly in amd64 systems but does not work in i686. On i686 no ip-address is assigned and the error below appears.

When building from v0.5.7.tar.gz there is no problem.
The error occurs exactly when building from git.

Unfortunately I don't have access to hardware to reproduce this issue, though given that it works with the sources from the latest release, I assume this is a regression in the netlink crate. I'll see if I can find something there.

Not sure if this is relevant, but what kernel version are you using?

I am using kernel 6.1.0-32-686-pae. On the same version kernel but for amd64 the problem is absent. Probably when building for i686 some amd64 library is included by mistake.

I don't have access to i686 hardware either, but I use VirtualBox and KVM. Somebody should check the i686 work after all. There are still low-power VPS with small amount of RAM.
