How to control using PCI

Can you please help me with cbus RS232 PCI?
How can I connect raspberry pi with PCI?
Shall I use usb to rs232 adapter or rs232 pins on raspberry pi?

I'm using an adapter. I'm not really sure you can hook the pi up directly to the rs232 port, I don't think the voltages are the same
