Summary

This error happen when I run terraform

terraform plan works fine.

/opt/homebrew/Cellar/tfenv/3.2.2/lib/tfenv-exec.sh: line 31: @: unbound variable

Steps to Reproduce

1. brew install tfenv
2. tfenv install latest
3. tfenv use latest
4. terraform

Expected Behaviour

terraform default output.

Actual Behaviour

/opt/homebrew/Cellar/tfenv/3.2.2/lib/tfenv-exec.sh: line 31: @: unbound variable

tfenv 3.2.2

Operating System

macOS (Apple Silicon)

Noticed the same, looks like this commit broke it.

On MacOS, the :1 appears to be necessary due to the version of bash. I changed that line to for _arg in "${@:1}"; do and it worked.

I have just come across this same issue

editing the tfenv-exec() function in lib/tfenv-exec.sh from:

function tfenv-exec() {
  for _arg in "${@}"; do

to

function tfenv-exec() {
  for _arg in ${@+"$@"}; do # POSIX-safe idiom

fixed it on MacOS for me.
