Thanks for the report. I don't use the Claude Code desktop app (pxpipe is only tested against the CLI), so I don't have an answer. Leaving this open, and if someone builds desktop support I'll gladly link it in the README

Confirmed working on Windows 11 with pxpipe 0.9.0 and the current Claude Desktop Code tab.

ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL cannot be overridden because Claude Desktop manages it. A localhost-only CONNECT proxy works instead when configured through HTTPS_PROXY, NODE_EXTRA_CA_CERTS, and NO_PROXY in ~/.claude/settings.json.

The proxy TLS-terminates only api.anthropic.com:443, sends the decrypted request to pxpipe, and raw-tunnels every other CONNECT target. After a full Desktop restart, pxpipe requests and compression appear in the dashboard.

This confirms that the MITM direction from #42 is a viable workaround for the Desktop case described here. One caveat: Desktop can rewrite settings.json, so a supported installer should detect and repair missing proxy settings.
