Tracking stopped with update to 2.8.10

Describe the bug

Tracking stopped with update to 2.8.10. No local time tracking, no transmission to software.com for me.
I reverted back to 2.8.8., now extension is tracking but i have to verify if transmitted to software.com.

Steps to reproduce

1. Update to 2.8.10
2. Check tracking after a couple of hours/workdays
3. No tracking at all

confirming working transmission with old version (2.8.8)

Can we have some warning messages if payload is not transmitted as expected?
