  A model-independent measurement of correlated selection bias in JWST high-redshift galaxies,
  using survey depth as an exclusion restriction (a Heckman-style sample-selection framing). Two-depth
  SED refitting of JADES DR5 shows the bias is observable-dependent: negative for stellar mass (the
  mass function is buffered), a coherent spectrum of younger/bluer/higher-sSFR biases near the
  detection limit, with a sign that flips at the Balmer break. Includes the estimator, mock
  validation, and the real-data runners.
