Become a sponsor to PHP OPC UA
Hi, I'm building php-opcua π
php-opcua is the OPC UA ecosystem for PHP β a full industrial-automation protocol stack written, packaged and tested in pure PHP. No native bindings, no JVM, no surprises: ext-openssl only, with both synchronous and async modes β use it inline in a classic request/response app, or non-blocking on the ReactPHP event loop for long-running monitoring processes.
What your sponsorship funds
One stack, four layers:
- opcua-client β the core: binary protocol over TCP, secure channels, sessions, 10 security policies, 47 PSR-14 events, sync and async APIs
- Companion tools β
opcua-cli(11 commands, all with--jsonoutput),opcua-session-manager(an async ReactPHP daemon that keeps sessions alive across requests), andopcua-client-nodesetwith pre-generated typed classes for 51 OPC Foundation companion specs - Framework bridges β first-party Laravel and Symfony integrations that feel like every other binding in your app
- Test infrastructure β two Docker-Compose suites (UA-.NETStandard + open62541) usable by any OPC UA client, in any language
This isn't a hobby experiment: php-opcua is the protocol layer behind Industry 4.0 and continuous-monitoring deployments talking to real PLCs in real factories, every day.
Why sponsor
Maintaining an industrial protocol stack means keeping up with the OPC UA spec, regenerating companion-spec types, supporting new PHP / Laravel / Symfony releases, and running full integration suites against reference servers.
There's also a bigger goal on the roadmap: php-opcua is not yet an OPC Foundation member and not yet officially certified. To be clear, that says nothing about whether it works. The stack ships with extensive test suites β unit tests plus full integration testing against the two reference implementations (UA-.NETStandard and open62541) via dedicated Docker environments β and it is already deployed in real industrial plants, talking to PLCs in production every day. Certification is about making that interoperability official: sponsorship would help fund the Foundation membership and the compliance-testing process needed to get there.
Your support buys the time (and the membership fees) that make thissustainable.
Sponsor tiers get you: priority on issues, your logo on php-opcua.com and in the READMEs, and a direct line for deployment questions.
