Wish list for short-term release

v8.0.0 is essentially ready for release, but we could use this opportunity to include quick turnaround feature requests that would be helpful to deploy at the SO site.

Add such requests to the following list:

• Cryocard command retry Retry on epics failure for cryocard commands #792
  • fix(client.command.cryo_card): Catch EPICS timeout on read and retry. #794
• Handle fixed tones Recognizing fixed tones in archival data simonsobs/sodetlib#304
  • Need a way to bookkeep fixed_tones and keep them on simonsobs/sodetlib#430
  • Add fixed tones support simonsobs/sodetlib#440
  • this didn't require any changes to pysmurf in the end
• better logging
  • feat(core.server_scripts.Common): Set log level and format. #797
• firmware fix for FIFO lockup
  • SLAC JIRA issue: https://jira.slac.stanford.edu/browse/ESCRYODET-960
  • as things have progressed, don't think we need changes to `pysmurf
