Other scheme identifier for research product

I would like to add to the identifier field another external identifier which is not listed in this section of the documentation. I saw the scheme is actually a mandatory field, so I suppose empty string should not be used. Should I use "other" as a schema in my case?

• Could you confirm that any type can be actually used, because it will be attached to the "@base" when resolved : http://mybase.com/myscheme
• If not, which scheme name do you recommend for "other" ? A full URI ?

We need to document this, it is a very common question.
