Adding full proper support for Davinci Resolve

Hi! I was inspired by your project to develop my own DIY speed editor with a pi pico. While the hardware is not done yet, I managed to finish and release blackmacro-lib, a reference firmware that allows microcontrollers to fully emulate a speed editor and all the features.

I thought you might be interested in this! It should allow dise to work natively with davinci without emulating kbm.
it's written in micropython, so while it's not directly integratable, it shouldn't be too hard to port.

This is indeed very interesting. How did you manage to fully emulate the speed editor? did you reverse engineer the original one?

I don't own a speed editor, but I managed to reverse engineer it's protocols and encryption through stuff found online.

There's a couple projects getting the official speed editor to work with other apps, and from that I was able to deduce the HID protocols.

As for the encryption algorithm the speed editor use for handshake, someone released the PC side's algorithm, and someone on Reddit published a dataset with like 2000 handshakes. With some boolean algebra I was able to crack the encryption keys without decompiling any blackmagic software.

I think personal use is definitely fine, as for releasing it I'm also not sure, but here's some of my opinions:

• To prevent issues as much as possible I licensed the project under the very strict agpl license. I think we can work something out to fit your slightly more permissive license.
• I think reverse engineering for the purpose of interoperability is legal in some places, and while the auth encryption protocol can be considered as a drm mechanism, it can be argued that it's a part of the auto-sleep mechanism. I'm not a lawyer though.
• No parts of the project is derived from decompiling blackmagic software, the only possible infringing part is the auth algorithm (not the keys). The algorithm however is taken from @smanuat, which is licensed under apache. I don't know how he derived the code though. As for the keys, they're calculated without cracking the firmware.
• I haven't seen blackmagic go after any open source speed editor projects yet, like those allowing it to be used with other apps, which all contains the encryption algorithm.

But in the end I'm not a lawyer, and I think you have to decide it's worth the risk.

I guess that as long as these projects only make them sell more Speed Editors, they are fine with it. Doing it for making a compatible device might be different.
If I ever fit your code to my HW, and ever publish it, I will do it under a separate project and under your strict license. (Not that any Chinese manufacturer will care...). I will definitely share it with you though.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I chose the license mostly to cover my ass if some manufacturers decide to do something stupid anyways.

the http interface is only for demo, as I haven’t finished building my keyboard hardware yet. The system should be modular enough to easily swap it out with hardware triggers.
